A collection of vintage printed sports magazines primarily featuring Sports Illustrated and one issue of Boys Life. The group focuses on professional baseball subjects from the late 1950s through the early 1970s. Key issues include the April 15 1957 Special Baseball Issue and the April 14 1958 Special Baseball Issue. Other identified issues include July 7 1958 featuring Stan Musial and Ted Williams, June 23 1958 with Jackie Jensen, and June 15 1959. Coverage of the 1961 season includes the October 2 and October 9 issues featuring Roger Maris and the World Series. Later issues include July 1973 featuring Steve Carlton and a New York Yankees feature with Bobby Murcer and Ron Blomberg. The collection also contains a March 1960 issue of Boys Life with Willie Mays on the cover. Most issues bear original period mailing labels.
