Description
A large frosted glass perfume bottle and matching stopper featuring high-relief molded decoration in the Muses pattern. The fan-shaped stopper depicts a central cherubic figure surrounded by clusters of grapes and scrolling vines. The body of the vessel is decorated with a continuous frieze of classical female figures, including one playing a lyre, set against a background of abundant grapevines. The bottle sits upon a circular fluted pedestal base. A handwritten white paper tag accompanying the item reads Lalique Perfume bottle Large signed in purple ink. The ground underside of the base shows faint, illegible markings and four circular green felt adhesive pads. Height: 7.5 inches.
