Description
A German twin-handled porcelain vase of amphora form set upon a square plinth base. The piece features a cream-colored ground decorated with hand-painted floral sprays including roses and forget-me-nots. Gilded accents are applied to the rim, handles, and relief-molded borders of acanthus leaves and geometric patterns. The underside of the base bears a blue printed mark featuring a crown atop a diamond containing the letters RW. The word GERMANY is printed above the crown, and the word RUDOLSTADT is partially visible below the diamond, followed by the characters PA DT. A handwritten paper tag is attached to the stem reading RW Germany VASE Rudolstadt. Height: 8 inches Base width: 3 inches.
