Description
This lot consists of a collection of artisanal fixed-blade knives, each accompanied by a coordinating leather sheath. The blades feature a variety of constructions and finishes, including pattern-welded Damascus steel with visible grain, hammered "dragon scale" textures, and blades ground from repurposed metal files retaining original rasp teeth. Several knives include decorative pictorial cutouts within the blade flats, specifically a deer head, a longhorn skull, a shark, and a stylized geometric brand. The group displays various blade profiles such as tanto, skinner, drop point, and gut hook designs. The handles are crafted from multi-colored materials including stabilized wood, layered pakkawood, and resin composites in vibrant hues, secured with brass bolsters and decorative mosaic pins. The coordinating leather sheaths are tooled with various patterns, including basketweave, crocodile skin, and fish scale textures, finished with contrasting perimeter stitching and integrated belt loops. No maker’s name or brand is legible on the blades or handles. Measurements were derived from the 15-inch wooden ruler provided in the photographs. The individual knives range in total length from approximately 7.5 inches to 9 inches.
