Description
This coopered vessel is constructed from tapered oak staves with a dark-stained finish. The piece is reinforced by three flat metal bands, each secured to the staves with Phillips head screws. Two brass bow-style handles are mounted to the upper sides of the vessel. A circular bung hole is cut into one of the side staves, and a similar hole is located in the base, accompanied by a loose wooden plug. The interior of the staves shows a darkened surface consistent with charred barrel construction. Diameter: approximately 15 inches Height: approximately 15.5 inches.
