Description
A 1985 limited edition collaborative set produced by Suzanne Gibson Dolls from Reeves International and Margarete Steiff GmbH. The set includes a Suzanne Gibson Goldilocks doll and three jointed mohair Steiff bears, housed in the original cardboard presentation box. The Goldilocks doll features blonde hair with a pink ribbon headband and wears a pink polka-dot dress with lace trim and maroon bands. The Steiff bears include a Papa Bear wearing a straw hat and maroon vest, a Mama Bear in a lace-trimmed pink bonnet and apron, and a Baby Bear wearing a blue bib with a yellow bear face design. Each bear is constructed of light brown mohair and features a brass-toned button in the left ear with a white fabric tag. The tags are printed in black and read 0173/21 for Papa Bear, 0173/16 for Mama Bear, and 0173/14 for Baby Bear. Each bear also features a circular red and white paper chest tag printed STEIFF – ORIGINAL – MARKE Goldilocks And The Three Bears No. 482. Attached yellow paper labels read Ein Tier von Steiff F?r immer Dein with a red bear graphic and a black GENUINE MOHAIR seal. The Goldilocks doll retains a manufacturer’s card tag reading Suzanne Gibson Dolls from Reeves International, Inc. The presentation box is printed on the front and interior with the set title and logos for both Suzanne Gibson and Steiff.
