Description
Two vintage string-bound scrapbooks containing a collection of mid-century greeting cards and ephemera. The scrapbooks feature textured cardboard covers in red and teal green, each embossed with SCRAP BOOK in gold-tone lettering within a decorative foliate border. The interior pages consist of light brown paper containing a variety of mounted holiday and occasion cards, including Christmas, Easter, birthdays, and Mother’s Day, many featuring graphic illustrations and die-cut designs characteristic of the 1950s and 1960s. Several pages include handwritten pencil dates such as Dec 1961 and 1961. The collection includes two 1960 Boys Town, Nebraska charity stamps, a color postcard of Monument Valley, and an envelope face postmarked TRENTON NJ DEC 17 1960 addressed to Mr. & Mrs. J. F. Mrozek, 1022 Sylvan Ct. N.E., Canton, Ohio.
