Description
A square leaded stained glass panel housed in a light-colored wood frame. The central field is composed of sixteen square amber-yellow glass tiles arranged in a four-by-four grid. Each tile is decorated with a central, iridescent foliate-style motif in variegated shades of blue, purple, and russet. This central grid is enclosed by a border of translucent orange and red glass panels. The orange border panels are hand-lettered in black with the text "we profit by our mistakes, " arranged clockwise from the left side. The red corner panels and the centers of the top and bottom borders are decorated with black circular wheel-like motifs. The assembly is held together with lead cames and is finished with a simple square-profile wood frame and an attached wire for hanging. Approximately 21.5 inches wide. Approximately 21.5 inches high.
