Description
This collection includes an assortment of decorative items and household accessories. An Arizona ceramic ashtray features a rectangular form with a stylized mid-century modern roadrunner in dark brown and yellow against a speckled light blue ground. The underside is incised with characters reading Dega Tourane (R) SEDONA, AZ. A ceramic mushroom figurine features a perforated cap and a mottled drip glaze in shades of brown, tan, black, white, and blue. The base is incised with characters reading Hi Muriel. An English earthenware dish is circular with a transfer-printed scene of two game birds in a natural landscape. The underside features a printed blue backstamp with a crown device and characters reading JOHNSON BROS MADE IN ENGLAND, as well as a small blue letter Z and a hand-painted green mark. An owl-shaped bank is constructed of painted plaster with a textured metallic gold and black finish and faceted red glass eyes. A vertical coin slot is located on the back of the head. No maker markings are visible on the bank. Measurements: The mushroom stands 5 1/4 inches in height. The ashtray measures 6 5/8 inches in length.
