Sold for: $30
Description
A trio of turned wood candle holders or pedestals, comprising a matching pair of taller baluster-form stands and a single shorter central stand. The taller pair features traditional architectural baluster turnings mounted to square block bases, which show solid wood construction and visible nail heads on the undersides. The circular tops of these two pieces are flat with a shallow recessed center. The shorter central piece is constructed with a double-bulbous form resting on a round, stepped base. All three items are finished in a thick layer of off-white paint that has been heavily distressed. The natural wood grain is visible where large sections of the finish have flaked away, particularly on the tops and mid-sections of the taller pieces. The underside of the central piece displays a small impressed mark near the rim that is not legible as a name or specific characters.
