Description
This set consists of two hand-blown art glass vases featuring bold mid-century modern silhouettes. The first vase is finished in olive green glass with a stepped cylindrical form consisting of a narrower upper section and a wider lower body. The second vase is vibrant red with a bulbous, rounded upper body that tapers into a narrower base with a slight flare. Both vessels are constructed with thick, clear glass weighted bases in the sommerso style and feature flat-ground, polished rims. On the underside of the green vase, there is a small rectangular white adhesive label remnant; the markings on the label are not legible (photo 8). No other marks, monograms, or signatures are visible on either piece. Olive green vase: 9.5 inches in height Red vase: 10 inches in height.
