Description
This lot consists of two pieces of automotive-related memorabilia. The first is a commemorative glass plate produced for The Standard Oil Company to mark its 100th anniversary. The plate is made of dark green glass and features gold-tone screen-printed decorations, including a laurel leaf border. The central text reads The Standard Oil Company 1870-1970 Starting our Second Century of Service. The second item is a galvanized steel oil pourer or measure. It has a cylindrical body that tapers toward a partially enclosed top with an offset fill opening. It is equipped with a fixed D-shaped handle and a fixed tapered pouring spout. The body exhibits a spangled zinc finish and features an embossed floral or starburst-style decorative motif on the side. There are no manufacturer names or capacity markings visible on the metal pourer. Diameter: 10.75 inches (measured across the plate).
