Description
This lot comprises three curved metal mounting plates designed for upright bass headstock tuning mechanisms. Two of the plates are constructed from chrome-plated steel and are each fitted with two complete tuning assemblies. These assemblies include cloverleaf-style tuning keys, worm gears, and rear-mounted string posts or capstans. The third plate is made of brass and features a decorative scalloped edge with a stamped geometric border pattern. This brass plate contains two tuning keys and worm gears but is incomplete, missing the corresponding gear wheels and string posts. No manufacturer marks or signatures are legible on the metal surfaces of any plate. Total length along outer curve: 9.5 inches Plate width at widest point: 2 inches.
