Description
An American wall-mounted thermometer manufactured by Taylor. The instrument is mounted on a rectangular stained hardwood board featuring beveled edges and decorative white scrollwork at the top and bottom. The thermometer utilizes an inset glass tube filled with red-dyed liquid. The Fahrenheit scale on the left ranges from 0 to 120 degrees with 2-degree increments and numerical labels every 20 degrees. The Celsius scale on the right ranges from -20 to 50 degrees with 1-degree increments and numerical labels every 10 degrees. The lower portion of the board features white script text reading Fahrenheit and Celsius below their respective scales. Centered near the bottom is a white printed mark with Taylor in script above USA in capital letters. As shown against the tape measure in photo 4, the board measures approximately 23.5 inches in length and 4 inches in width.
