Lot 233:
Description
A ceramic pitcher manufactured by Wallace China in Los Angeles, California. The piece is constructed from vitreous china and features a distinct Streamline Moderne aesthetic with a geometric, semi-triangular profile. The design incorporates an integrated handle that follows the curve of the body and a recessed circular pouring aperture in place of a traditional spout. The pitcher is finished in a light grey glaze decorated with a single airbrushed peach-toned arc on each side. A printed black mark on the base features the stylized word wallace followed by a registered trademark symbol, above the text CHINA, 6-L, and LOS ANGELES, CALIF.
