Description
A large scale folk art sculpture hand carved from a single log of wood, depicting a stylized seated primate. The figure features a flattened, hollowed out head that functions as a deep basin and arms held across the chest to create a central rectangular void. The sculpture is rendered in a rustic vernacular style with a naturally weathered gray patina and prominent wood grain. It is carved on an integral base. No signatures, maker marks, labels, or country of origin marks are visible on the exterior or interior surfaces.
