Description
An assortment of collectibles featuring a grooming tool, jeweler equipment, a still bank, and advertising items. The lot includes a Gillette Slim Adjustable safety razor constructed from nickel-plated brass. The razor features a twist-to-open butterfly head and an adjustable numerical dial with settings from 1 to 9. It is housed in a blue plastic presentation case with a clear lid embossed with the Gillette brand name. The lot also contains an H.S. Superior Metal Test Set, No. 42-15, housed in a finger-jointed wooden box. The kit includes three square glass bottles with ground-glass stoppers, a touchstone, and a vial containing orange granules. One bottle retains a yellow label for Schwerter’s Testing Fluid with instructions for identifying metals such as German silver, nickel, brass, platinum, and gold based on color reactions. The collection features a cast iron still bank in the form of a saddled donkey. It is a two-piece casting joined by a single flat-head screw with a coin slot positioned on the animal’s back.
