Description
A cast composite sculpture depicting an adult penguin in a naturalistic brooding posture over a single chick nestled at its feet. The work features a highly textured surface intended to simulate the appearance of feathers, finished with a multi-toned brown and gray wash to create a weathered effect. The sculpture is set upon an integral rectangular plinth. The construction material has a white interior core, visible at points of surface loss. There are no visible signatures, maker marks, or edition numbers. Some chips are evident. 8 -11 in.
