Description
A pair of sterling silver salt and pepper shakers produced by the International Silver Company. Each shaker is designed in a classical baluster form with a polished finish. The shoulder is accented with a decorative beaded border, and the lower portion of the body features wide vertical fluting. Each shaker is topped with a removable domed lid characterized by a chased repousse foliate scroll border and a circular arrangement of perforations. The underside of each base is stamped with the word STERLING, a pictorial mark of a spread-wing eagle with a shield on its breast for the International Silver Company, and the pattern number 020.
