Description

This lot comprises an assortment of US military individual equipment belts, commonly known as pistol belts, representing various patterns issued from World War II through the Vietnam War. The collection includes M-1936 pattern belts constructed from khaki (OD3) cotton webbing with brass hardware, as well as later post-WWII and Korean War era olive drab (OD7) cotton webbing belts featuring blackened metal hardware and ball-type or flat-face buckles. One notable inclusion is an M-1967 Modernized Load-Carrying Equipment (MLCE) belt, distinguished by its black plastic T-bar quick-release Davis buckle and olive drab webbing. All belts feature the standard three-row grommet pattern designed for the attachment of M-1910 wire hangers and ALICE clips. A specific khaki belt in the collection has been repurposed for municipal service, bearing a black ink stencil on the interior webbing that reads BURBANK FIRE DEPT. One belt in the group shows a distinct orange-hued discoloration.
