Description
This lot contains two pieces of early 20th-century American carnival glass. The first bowl is produced by the Millersburg Glass Company in the Grape Wreath pattern. It is crafted from amethyst base glass with a high-luster, multi-colored iridescent finish that displays vibrant hues of purple, blue, green, and gold. The interior is molded with grape clusters and foliage arranged in a circular wreath around a central floral rosette, and it features a scalloped and ruffled rim. The exterior base displays a pressed starburst design. 7.5 and 6.5 inches. The second bowl is a Fenton marigold carnival glass piece. It features a pressed pattern consisting of floral and leaf sprays surrounding a central multi-petaled flower with a beaded center. The glass has a classic orange-toned marigold iridescence and a ruffled rim. The underside of the bowl is decorated with an intaglio multi-petaled floral design on the base, a signature feature of Fenton glass. Both bowls are constructed from pressed glass with finished collar bases.
