Description
This ruffled bowl is composed of pressed iridescent glass, known as carnival glass, produced in the Primrose pattern by the Millersburg Glass Company. The piece features a marigold iridescent finish over a clear-to-amber glass base, exhibiting a spectrum of metallic tones including gold, pink, and green. The design centers on a multi-pointed floral motif surrounded by six large, six-petaled flowers alternating with circular medallions containing stars. The background is textured with intricate hobstar and diamond geometric pressing. The bowl is formed with a deeply ruffled and crimped rim and rests on a low collar base. There are no visible manufacturer marks or signatures on the item. 10 inches.
