Description
7x6x8 A two-piece covered glass dish manufactured by Degenhart (Crystal Art Glass) in the Rooster on Nest pattern. The item is crafted from purple slag glass, also known as marble glass, which features a dense swirling pattern of opaque white and deep purple. The lid is modeled as a stylized rooster with a textured comb and fanned tail feathers. The base is designed as an oval basket with a flared openwork lacy edge rim and sits upon a pedestal foot. The underside of the base bears an embossed maker mark consisting of a capital letter D enclosed within a circle.
