Description
3x2x1.5 This antique personal vanity case, known as a necessaire or etui, is constructed from gilded brass with intricate stamped and chased decorative motifs. The exterior decoration includes geometric grids, floral medallions, and interlocking vesica shapes across all surfaces. The rectangular box is fitted with a hinged lid and rests on four small bun feet. The interior features a metal divider containing two miniature rectangular glass scent bottles with matching gilded metal caps. The set includes several steel vanity tools: an ear scoop, a bodkin, and a pair of scissors. No maker marks, hallmarks, or inscriptions are visible on the case, bottles, or tools. A small circular aperture is present on the front panel where a latch or key mechanism was originally located.
