Description
11.5 in tall. Consolidated Ashcroft Hancock Co. Inc. antique industrial steam safety relief valve. This heavy-duty valve is constructed of solid cast brass or bronze and features a two-inch threaded inlet. The device is equipped with a manual testing lever cast with the manufacturer initials C.A.H. CO. and a windowed top section that reveals a threaded adjustment screw. A brass specification plate is riveted to the lower body, providing detailed operational data. The identification plate is stamped with the following text: Consolidated American, Set At 145, A.S.M.E. Std., Size 2, Blow Down 5 1/2, U.S. Patent 1,648,124, Type 1443, Capacity Flat Seat 6100, Canadian Pat. 11-2-26, Serial No. CA 34833, Consolidated Ashcroft Hancock Co. Inc., Bridgeport, Conn., U.S.A.
