Description
This collection consists of six pieces of opaque white milk glass, primarily featuring hobnail patterns and forms attributed to Fenton Art Glass. The assortment includes one rectangular lidded box with a vertically ribbed base and a lid featuring hand-painted floral motifs of purple violets and pink roses with green foliage. Also included is a chamberstick candle holder with a dense, spiky hobnail pattern and a circular finger-loop handle. The set further contains two round candle holders with scalloped rims and a band of hobnail decoration around the exterior base. Completing the collection is a square dish with a hobnail exterior and a smooth interior, and a decorative high-heel shoe or slipper figurine featuring a hobnail pattern and scrollwork at the front of the opening. The undersides of the pieces were examined and do not display visible maker’s marks or stamps.
