Description
This collection comprises three vintage decks of playing cards from The United States Playing Card Co. and its subsidiaries. The first item is a deck of Congress No. 606 Gold Edges cards. The box is an orange pebble-textured slipcase with a 1901 copyright date. The cards feature backs illustrated with a multi-color scene of a couple in 18th-century dress and have remnants of gold-gilt edges. A partial vintage tax stamp is present on the box exterior. The second item is a deck of Bee No. 92 Club Special playing cards, custom-manufactured for Sam’s Town Hotel and Gambling Hall in Las Vegas, Nevada. The cards utilize a red and white Diamond Back pattern with the casino logo printed in the center and are held in a standard Bee brand tuck box. The third item is a Gypsy Witch Fortune Telling deck designed for cartomancy. Each card contains symbolic illustrations and fortune-telling text paired with standard card indices. The backs feature a purple silhouette of a witch and a black cat. This set is accompanied by the original orange cardboard box and a How to Tell Fortunes instruction booklet.
