Description
28 in tall A decorative mosaic glass globe presented on an ornate metal tripod stand. The spherical globe is constructed from iridescent, seed-shaped glass or mother-of-pearl tiles set in a light-colored grout, featuring a circular opening at the base. The stand is made of metal, likely wrought or cast iron, and features three twisted legs that terminate in scrolled feet accented with cast leaf motifs. The upper portion of the stand includes a petal-edged collar designed to cradle the glass globe and is flanked by two scrolled decorative arms. The hollow center of the stand and the globe opening suggest a potential for electrification, but the item currently lacks all electrical components, sockets, and wiring. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible.
