Description
A collection of eight vintage issues of LIFE Magazine, published by Time Inc., New York, dating from 1963 to 1965. The assortment features original staple-bound illustrated covers documenting significant historical and cultural events of the mid-20th century. The identified issues include: July 5, 1963, featuring Pope Paul VI in the Sistine Chapel; January 17, 1964, depicting Paul VI at the Sea of Galilee; April 10, 1964, covering the Alaska Earthquake; April 10, 1964, a Special Two-In-One Issue titled Our Splendid Outdoors; an undated Special Double Issue titled The Wild World featuring a bull elephant; September 10, 1965, titled Control of Life; and October 15, 1965, documenting Pope Paul VI in America at Yankee Stadium. One additional issue is partially visible. Each magazine retains its original white adhesive mailing label addressed to Mr. James J. Weinrich in Marshallville, Ohio.
