9.7 gramThis United States military marksmanship qualification badge is identified by visual characteristics and historical consensus as a World War I era US Marine Corps Sharpshooter badge. The badge is constructed from sterling silver and follows a two-part design. The upper portion consists of a rectangular suspension bar featuring a pebbled background within a raised border, with the word SHARPSHOOTER embossed in uppercase serif letters. The reverse of the bar is centrally incised with the mark STERLING. The lower portion is a Maltese cross pendant suspended by two jump rings. The arms of the cross have a pebbled texture, and the center features a circular target design composed of concentric rings. The reverse of the cross is incised with the mark STERLING at the bottom tip of the lower arm.
