Description
6.5 in long This two-piece pressed glass covered dish is rendered in a deep cobalt blue color. The set consists of a lid in the form of a nesting hen and a base modeled as a basket-weave nest. The lid features detailed molded plumage on the wings, body, and tail feathers. The base is designed with an oval nest pattern and a wide, scalloped, wavy rim. As noted in the visual inspection, the exterior bottom of the base features an embossed mark consisting of a letter B within a diamond shape, which identifies the piece as a product of Boyd?s Crystal Art Glass of Cambridge, Ohio.
