Description
A trio of vintage promotional still banks manufactured by The Bankers Savings & Credit System Co. of Cleveland, Ohio. These banks are the Champion model, commissioned for The Ohio-Merchants Trust Co. of Massillon, Ohio. Each unit is constructed from plated metal with a rounded body, a fixed top handle, and a single coin slot on the top. One bank features an applied black and gold label indicating Pays 4% Interest and The Ohio-Merchants Trust Co., Massillon, Ohio centered over an Ohio state outline. The other two banks are fitted with riveted metal plates stamped with the institution name and location. The bases feature hinged, lockable doors for coin removal. One base is clearly stamped with the manufacturer information: Champion and Mfd. By The Bankers Savings & Credit System Co. Cleveland. The set is accompanied by three plain black cardboard storage boxes.
