Description
6.5in tall This antique tabletop butter churn features a square clear glass jar and a cast iron mechanical top assembly. The side of the glass jar is vertically embossed with the name DAZEY. The mechanical components consist of a screw-on cast iron lid housing a bevel gear drive system operated by a side-mounted crank arm. The crank is finished with a turned wooden handle. Internally, a metal drive shaft extends from the gear mechanism and is fitted with a four-bladed wooden dasher. This style of churn was manufactured by the Dazey Churn and Manufacturing Company during the early 20th century.
