Lot 133:
Description
24 in tall This is a vintage table lamp designed as a replica of the Liberty Bell, reflecting mid-century Americana styling. The base is constructed from a molded composition material, likely chalkware or plaster, featuring a faux-bronze patina on the bell and a faux-wood grain finish on the yoke. The bell body displays molded relief inscriptions replicating the original, including the text PASS AND STOW, PHILADA, and the date MDCCLIII. The entire assembly is mounted on a black-finished octagonal base. The lighting assembly includes a brass-tone socket with a key-turn switch, a clear glass internal chimney, and an amber glass hurricane-style shade with a ruffled rim. The lamp is powered by a standard two-prong electrical cord.
