Description
5 in long This two-piece pressed glass covered dish is fashioned in the traditional Hen on Nest pattern. The item consists of a lid molded in the form of a nesting hen and a matching oval base. The entire piece is crafted from amethyst-colored glass with a uniform satin or frosted finish, resulting in a soft, matte appearance. The lid features detailed molded feathering on the body and tail, as well as a defined comb and beak. The base is characterized by a decorative beaded rim and a textured basketweave pattern on the exterior. No maker marks, signatures, or logos are visible on the interior or exterior of either component.
