Description
This lot features two original pieces of commercial vehicle equipment associated with the American Bantam Car Company of Butler, Pennsylvania, dating to the mid-20th century. The first item is an embossed steel nameplate from the Bantam Supercargo trailer line. The plate displays a circular emblem on the left containing a stylized V-shape with the brand name Bantam in diagonal lettering. To the right, the word Supercargo is embossed in large block characters. The plate features a stepped, aerodynamic silhouette characteristic of late 1940s to early 1950s industrial design. The second item is a triple identification light bar, commonly mounted on the rear or roof of commercial trucks and trailers. The unit consists of a black-painted metal housing fitted with three red beehive-style lenses. The reverse reveals the original wiring harness and mounting configuration. These types of light bars were manufactured by companies such as Arrow, Grote, or Do-Ray during this era.
