Description
This comprehensive estate grouping centers on the World War II service of Michael Klinko, who served as a Technician 5th Grade. The collection is professionally presented in a glazed wooden shadow box with a red felt backing. Primary documentation includes a fragmentary US Army Honorable Discharge certificate naming Michael Klinko and two stainless steel identification tags (dog tags) embossed with his name and serial number. The insignia and awards represent a service history involving the Fifth Army, Seventh Army, and Antiaircraft Command, as evidenced by the corresponding shoulder sleeve insignia. The collection includes a US Army Good Conduct Medal and several ribbon bars, notably the European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal featuring four bronze service stars, indicating participation in four separate campaigns. Also present are American Campaign and World War II Victory Medal ribbons. Textile items comprise multiple sets of T/5 rank chevrons in both olive drab and silver-white patterns, Meritorious Unit Commendation patches, overseas service bars, and a service stripe.
