Description

16 in. This vintage toy road roller is part of the Sturdibilt line manufactured by Nylint of Rockford, Illinois, during the late 1960s to early 1970s. The vehicle is constructed from pressed steel with a yellow and red paint scheme and includes various plastic components such as the oversized red front roller, black tires with red hubs, and a blue-tinted plastic cab glazing unit with a red plastic roof. The model features an articulating frame design that is operated by a black plastic T-handle located on the rear engine housing. The interior of the cab is equipped with a molded steering wheel and seat. Identifying marks include the word STURDIBILT embossed on the front-facing horizontal bar of the roller frame and a stylized embossed Ny logo on the vertical side panels. Both sides of the upper engine compartment feature adhesive decals that read TURBO-POWER in black capital letters within a rectangular border.
