Description
A vintage 5-gallon bulk lubricant can produced for the Sinclair Refining Company. The container is constructed of lithographed steel featuring the brand’s signature red and white color scheme. The central body displays the Sinclair name in large red block lettering. Below the primary logo is the company’s trademarked Apatosaurus Dino logo within a rectangular border, accompanied by the text MADE IN U.S.A. and SINCLAIR PRODUCT. Capacity specifications are printed on the lower section, indicating 5 U.S. Gallons, 4 Imperial Gallons, 18.925 Liters, and a net weight of 35 pounds (15.88 kilos). One side of the can features black stenciled text identifying the contents as RE A-HD Motor Oil SAE 20 & 20W, designated for service DG. Corporate information at the base of one panel reads SINCLAIR REFINING COMPANY NEW YORK.
