Description
5.5 in tall. This pressed carnival glass vessel is a two-handled loving cup or urn, attributed to the Dolphin pattern. The piece features a tapered cup body with a flared rim, supported by a short stem and a circular foot. It is distinguished by two figural handles molded into the shape of stylized dolphins or koi fish with detailed scales, fins, and eyes. The base glass is a deep amethyst color, which is most apparent as a rich purple tone in the interior. The exterior surface has a metallic iridescent finish, displaying a color spectrum that transitions from cobalt blue at the rim through shades of bronze-gold and violet toward the base. This form and pattern are characteristic of items produced by manufacturers such as the Imperial Glass Company or Fenton Art Glass during the 20th century. The circular base is polished smooth with a slightly recessed center; no manufacturer marks are visible.
