Description
7.5 in tall. A Fenton Art Glass bulbous vase featuring the Swans pattern, part of the 1998 Historic Collection. The piece is crafted from Sea Green opalescent glass with a lustrous iridescent finish. The body is decorated with high-relief molded scenes of swans swimming amidst aquatic foliage, including lily pads and cattails. The vase features a vertically ribbed neck accented by a beaded collar, which flares into a wide, hand-crimped ruffled rim. The base is a smooth, slightly recessed ring without a pontil mark, characteristic of pressed glass. A silver foil oval label is located on the shoulder, displaying a script letter F within an oval above the words FENTON Handmade in USA. The underside of the base bears a hand-written signature in green script that reads George Fenton.
