Description
13 inches tall. A clear glass basket produced by A.H. Heisey and Company of Newark, Ohio. This piece is designed in the Colonial pattern, also known as No. 459, featuring wide vertical flutes and a deeply lobed, scalloped rim. It is fitted with a high, fixed handle accented by faceted knops at the points of attachment. The body is decorated with copper-wheel engraved floral sprays, including multi-petaled flowers with cross-hatched centers. The basket is supported by a heavy, stepped octagonal pedestal base. The underside of the base features the embossed Heisey trademark, a capital H inside a diamond.
