Description
70 x 80 This hand-stitched cotton patchwork quilt is constructed from a variety of late 19th to early 20th-century fabrics. The design features a dynamic diagonal arrangement of sawtooth or Delectable Mountains variant blocks. The fabric assortment includes assorted calico prints, checks, stripes, and shirting in a color palette of madder red, navy blue, pink, light blue, chocolate brown, and black. The piece is hand-quilted with diagonal parallel lines across the entire surface. The reverse side is finished with a blue-on-blue grid pattern cotton fabric, and the quilt is finished with a blue patterned binding along the edges.
