Description
40 x 52 This is a hand-quilted patchwork quilt, sized for a crib or as a lap quilt, featuring a traditional Log Cabin pattern in a Barn Raising variation. The quilt top is pieced using solid-colored cotton fabrics in a monochromatic palette including navy blue, medium blue, light blue, and cream. The individual blocks are oriented on point, with the light and dark fabric strips positioned to create concentric diamond motifs across the surface. The perimeter is finished with a navy blue prairie point or sawtooth-style fabric border. Construction includes hand-piecing and detailed hand-quilting with running stitches that follow the linear layout of the fabric strips. The reverse consists of a solid cream cotton backing that clearly displays the quilted geometric pattern.
