Description
64 x 82 A mid-20th century American string-pieced quilt top featuring square blocks constructed from diagonal fabric remnants. The pieced strips include a variety of cotton and cotton-blend textiles, such as floral calicos, stripes, polka dots, and novelty feedsack-style prints. The blocks are arranged in a diagonal pattern and separated by solid lavender sashing with solid pink cornerstones. This piece is an unfinished quilt top, machine-pieced onto a white cotton fabric foundation visible on the reverse side. It lacks batting, backing, and finished binding.
