Description
60 x 70 A vintage American pieced quilt top featuring the Dresden Plate pattern. This unfinished top is composed of circular motifs, each with radiating wedges made from various multi-colored scrap cotton fabrics. The fabric selection includes a diverse range of floral, geometric, and novelty prints characteristic of the 1930s through the 1950s. Each plate is finished with a solid lime-green center circle and is set into a white cotton muslin ground with pieced, star-shaped intersections. The piece is a single layer and has not been quilted, backed, or bound.
