Description
74 x 82 This is a vintage hand-appliqued cotton quilt top featuring multiple Sunburst or Dresden Plate motifs on a pieced white cotton ground. Each star-shaped motif is constructed from multiple pointed petals of varied printed cotton fabrics, including floral, gingham, and polka dot patterns characteristic of the mid-20th century. The petals surround a circular central medallion of floral-printed fabric. The layout consists of full circular motifs in the interior and partial motifs positioned along the edges and corners. The ground fabric consists of white cotton panels joined with machine-stitched seams.
