Antiques Quilts and Toppers
Lot 203:
Description
72 x 92 This mid-20th-century cotton or cotton-blend patchwork quilt top is constructed in the Bow Tie pattern, also known as the Spool pattern. The design features a series of machine-pieced blocks in solid shades of purple, pink, red, blue, and green. These patterned blocks alternate with solid cream-colored squares in a checkerboard configuration. The textile is an unfinished quilt top and does not include batting, a backing, or finished bound edges. The reverse side reveals raw fabric edges and machine-stitched seams.
