Description
80 x 92 This is a vintage handmade patchwork quilt top featuring licensed Holly Hobbie character fabric and an assortment of mid-century prints. The piece is constructed in a scrap-quilt style using multiple fabric squares including green and white stripes, various floral motifs, strawberry prints, ginghams, and polka dots. Several patches prominently feature the Holly Hobbie character with visible printed marks including "? HOLLY HOBBIE" and "H. HOBBIE." The assembly consists of hand-stitched squares, notably visible on the red fabric patches. The item appears to be an unfinished project, characterized by raw, unbound edges and the absence of batting or a backing layer. The fabrics are a mixture of cotton and cotton-synthetic blends consistent with domestic textiles from the 1970s.
