Description
70 x 76 This vintage hand-pieced quilt top is constructed from multiple panels of lightweight, semi-sheer cotton or cotton-blend fabrics, possibly a lawn or chambray weave. The design features a geometric patchwork pattern including a multi-colored checkerboard field in shades of pink, lavender, powder blue, primrose yellow, and charcoal-green. This field transitions into a larger-scale checkerboard pattern of yellow and charcoal-green. One edge is finished with a border of sawtooth triangles in alternating blue and dark green. The piece is hand-stitched throughout, with visible seam allowances on the reverse side. This item is an unfinished quilt top, consisting of the pieced face only, without batting or a backing layer.
